I was in PHX yesterday and the pushback driver said “corporate” was there in the morning confirming a base. He also said 20 plus daily flights by summer. We also have about 5-6 F9 employed mechanics there in PHX vs contract maintenance. I believe they are leftover from when we had the heavy maintenance done at Goodyear airport.
I said this before in another thread. Last month a mechanic told me they were in the process of making PHX a class 2 maintenance facility, and expect 5 RON aircraft in the near future. All of our pilot domiciles are class 2 facilities (according to him).
