You said that very thing here in 2018 on the SkyWest forums. Since you said that, SkyWest is growing more than it ever has. They can't even fill classes at the moment.
I'm just wondering what downturn you are referring to? Not only that, what virus? The corona virus? The one that has killed 77,000 so far? Ignoring other viruses like hepatitis and the flu? Those one's that kill millions more that people don't seem to care about anymore?
