I had no idea that Randy Babbitt was the only Eastern pilot hired by Delta.
As it turned out, that same day I met yet another Captain that was former Eastern. He guessed there were probably 75-100 EAL pilots still here at UAL.
Learned a lot talking to them.
My new hire class was predominantly Pan Am, EAL, and Midway refugees (the rest military). To gain their industry insight and wisdom has been a highlight of my career. Those guys are the rEAL deal.
