Default Frontier History

A question for Frontier folks,,,
First before I ask, let me tell you where I came from. My Dad worked for the Old Frontier until the doors closed. The airline was special to our family and a major influence in the careers we chose. I work for a cargo carrier, my older brother at SWA, little brother at HP/USAIR and Dad ended up staying in the business and flying for other carriers. We all remember flying the CV580's into Jackson (favorite non-rev destination),,, pretty cool!
It's been long enough to ask these questions,,, Was the decision to operate the Airbus instead of the 737 a financially good one? Was anybody else disappointed in that choice of equipment? Finally, are there any Old Frontier employees working for the New Frontier?

By the way, If anyone is insterested in airline nostalgia and Old Frontier history, let me recommend "The Golden Years of Flying" by Captain Tex Searle.
