Wouldn't it be nice to have a couple billion in the bank rather than all that money thrown down the toilet for stock buybacks? The time is now for United management to step up and take unpaid leave, cut their bonuses, and their salaries and lay themselves off for these stupid decisions.

Its time to remember management wants stuff from us. They want you to single engine taxi, leave the APU off, land on runway 29 at Newark, etc. But they are not giving you anything in return (like a new contact) and betraying these new hire pilots in the process. So go ahead and extend, waive and pick up trips. You are only helping the company screw us.
