If you mean ALPA as the "they," ALPA went to court, paid them strike benefits, got their jobs back and then their seniority. If you mean UAL as "they," they fired/terminated the 570 for not crossing the picket line and claimed they were never really employees and lost that argument in front of a judge.

The 570 are not examples of a reduction in flying and subsequent furlough.
