Agree. If they promised something, you can’t remove that offer 3 days prior to the start date and expect to be viewed as professionals. If they need to furlough them a week later, so be it. But at least stand behind what you have offered as a professional organization. If the offer was a month out, that would be a different story. I hope united will change their decision on this.

why don’t they postpone the new uniforms officially and save that money to hire these guys for even a few weeks and if things continue their present trajectory then furlough them at least they will be able to collect unemployment. As of now if they quit they are sol.
I was impressed at management for what they did for the new hires widow from the atlas crash. I dare them to perform at the same humanitarian standard!
