As a senior WB captain with less than a year I would consider leaving early if the company came up with a viable plan. However with all the political wrangling that goes on in ALPA, I’m doubtful they could get an agreement any time soon...especially with the contract open.
It's called CORE 4. And yes, they could have done the right thing for one class so they aren't screwed personally and for their families. If they get laid off in 2 months, at least they have a guaranteed job to come back to and have bought two months of time to get Plan B going. It's people like you, that need to go with your unsympathetic "well it's happened to everybody" or "You need to earn your gray hairs" attitude.
