It's called CORE 4. And yes, they could have done the right thing for one class so they aren't screwed personally and for their families. If they get laid off in 2 months, at least they have a guaranteed job to come back to and have bought two months of time to get Plan B going. You must have me confused with someone else. I am sympathetic having gone thru this very thing myself. You’re making a big deal about the way the industry is and always has been. If it’s that important to you, take a management job and work your way up to a position where you have the authority to change things. As for right now, why not write a letter to the senior VP of OPS and tell him what you think of his actions.
Or maybe you could be a hero with your own money, instead of someone else’s and start/contribute to a welfare fund just for that class. It’s a thing now with the internet you know. Post a link right here and let’s see the money follow the lips.
