Just a hunch, but I'd imagine if UA is canceling classes, everyone else will start with that and evaluate where that puts them in the coming days/weeks.

By not holding classes we are effectively furloughing 70 people a month. It sucks to shrink but I am hopeful we will all be able to hold onto our jobs. I've run into a handful of new hires on OE lately.
I think we have more than twice as many retirements than United this year. I believe APC says ~366 retirements as United this year versus ~772 here at American. We are little bigger than UAL but not twice as big.
