When it comes to being employed or not..really no difference.
Anyway Seaboard was the second largest Cargo Line in the country, after Flying Tigers . They operated a fleet of 747’a and DC-8’s. A new hire with SB skipped the panel and went directly to F/O, at higher pay, unlike all the other majors, many of which did not operate 747’s.
The class before me have been WB captains at FEDEX for nearly two decades now, as a result of mergers, with Tigers and Fedex.
You’re in good company though with IATA that believe cargo carriers are a lesser class...... and don’t deserve the same level of safety as passenger carriers.
I have confidence this company will do the right thing with this class.
