Well I guess the administration is trying to reap the dream of destroying Amtrak, this time from within. They had tried revitalization under one of the best-ever airline executives, and a legendary railroad executive, but look who they've hired now...
Whereas the two previous Amtrak heads did their jobs for free, temporarily, and as a labor of love, the new guy plans to get paid, and stay a long time.
