If you don't want to work, bid a reserve line, get paid 73 hrs, and still do nothing. With all the low time lines, all the line holders will be picking up anything and everything to try to avoid a pay cut.
For that matter, I'm sure the crew desk will continue to build short calls just because they can, and you get paid more on reserve.....if you live in domicile, reserve just became the best thing at UAL.
I did them when they paid 60. It was a pretty sweet gig! Not too thrilled that all of a sudden they're only worth 50. Where did that come from? Sounds concessionary during times of plenty. Hell, the co was in far worse shape back when they paid more.
WRT to bidding reserve instead, given the idiotic numbers of SCs they dole out, I'd rather just take the vaca and put this place in the rearview for the month. Loads to HI are down.
