I wasn’t sure how the company would react to the virus panic, but based on the August vacancy and forecasts, 787 staffing is increasing for the foreseeable future. New routes to New Zealand, India, and Tel Aviv start later this year so I guess the company is taking the long view, for now. That’s good.
Side note: I don’t miss Scott Kirby at all. It’s just a shame they had to pay him to leave.
At the end of the day they’re a business and if passengers aren’t booking flights airplanes won’t be flying. People are getting worked up into a real frenzy over this. Probably going to be a brutal year for the travel industry.
