It’s not like the company wasn’t going to take the 5 day’s anyway. They would have took the days and we would have had to sent it to arbitration. And it does nobody on this list any good to not allow the company to trim when necessary so we can not take a larger loss than necessary on these flights.
And with people being quarantined on cruise ships and military bases, and a third of Italy on lockdown, not to mention folks sick and dying, the arbitrator would have thought that we were entitled pricks for fighting this, as would the general public and everyone else. And it doesn’t matter if you think coronavirus is overblown or not, it’s what the customer thinks and how they react to it that’s important, because that’s what really determines the economics of this.
