We primarily stayed at the LaQuinta, but as of this year I do not think anyone is staying at the LaQuinta anymore. I know people are at the Sheraton, but there is probably another option now, too. We had our own rooms so having guests/family was not an issue. I don’t know if that policy has changed, but I doubt it. You will get a printout of your schedule very quickly in Indoc and you can work with that when communicating to loved ones. Some of the ex-pats in other classes had their partners living with them.

If possible, bring your own transportation. I highly recommend it. The area where the training center is at doesn’t provide too many amenities, and the nearest grocer is still 4-5 miles away.
