Funny, in all this doom and gloom talk (Deltabound: pleads guilty as charged), I've seen this:

1. It's no big deal. Old geezers die of flu all the time.
2. It's the end of the world. US medical care is a microcosm of the rest of US gov (and business); shortsighted and unable to deal with big challenges. Stand by for furloughs.

How about this? LET'S BEAT THIS F'ING THING.

Seriously. If it's 99% a matter of hygiene, why don't we just EMBRACE IT?

Wear the mask. Give passengers the mask at check in. Have wipes, dozens, hundreds, thousands readily available in at the check in counters, at the TSA, in the terminal , and in the jetbridge. Fog down each and every airplane, and make a huge media campaign showing just how seriously we, as an airline, take this.

Greet the pax, with gloves, and with masks, but with a confident smile and a nice wave, with full confidence that Big-D isn't about to be brought down by a virus.

F COVID 19. All it takes is a few HEPA filters, some sanitary wipes, some glove and a N95 face mask to defeat it? Turns take an extra 30 mintues, because (extra) cleaners are going to wipe down the whole aircraft? That's like, what, a few bucks a person? Big frikkin' deal.

Fly with Delta. The airline that gave a giant "F" "U" to the CORVID-19.

In the words of a truly great American, Douglas MacArthur:

"There is no substitute for Victory."

It's a virus, for x's sake. Let's beat this thing.

Our goal is not to slowly ride this out. Delta is going to conquer COVID-19.
