Well, if you are going to stay at a regional, do any regionals have bases within a couple hours' drive of where you live? Commuting to reserve = no fun.
I live in a city with a lot of good travel options, so that is good. And, I can get to a number of SkyWest's nearby hubs in a few ways. But, I would most likely just bunk in the city I am based for a while, and gauge what looks best for a base to settle in to.
