Alaska is 12 weeks away from making life changing decisions, decisions that will severely impact yours and your fellow brothers and sisters lives. I assure you the numbers are sobering. A lot of it is out of our hands, but we should all be giving it everything we have. Hoping, as one united pilot group, we are able to pull our company through this unbelievably bleak time. There is opportunity, there is possibility but that will only be achieved or realized, by “everyone rowing together”.
I think all the airlines are a lot closer than 12 weeks from making some hard choices. The country is heading toward shut down mode for a while at least. There aren’t going to be any activities still taking place to travel too before much longer. I don’t see Alaska or anyone else for that matter flying around empty airplanes for much longer. I also don’t see things being significantly improved as early as mid June. Hope it is but not much pointing in that direction now.
