It’s more of the same. We refuse to opt out, but we keep getting union communications that the company isn’t listening to us. Nothing will happen until we stand firm.

I’d rather have no deal than this one. Let’s for once, grow a pair, and give them 7 days notice. That’s 7 days to fix this OIM. Either they come back to the table or not, but this sends the pilots a strong signal to not pick these trips up until we get an improved deal.

Also, maybe communicate with the block reps to do the same...
I disagree with getting out of the OIM. I called my block rep. Getting out of the OIM doesn't guarantee anything. In fact if we drop out all it does is guarantees that people can then not opt out and many pilots will loose extra pay and protections if they get corona or are quarantine. My rep told me as well as many union communications that they are in talks with the company but the company doesn't have the same appetite to an additional OIM as our pilot group does. We are not in section 6 the company doesn't have to do squat. Some are saying that if we get out of this OIM then more people will not do the China flying. That is absolutely laughable. Under the current OIM we have provisions to opt out and many are still not doing it how would dropping out of the OIM incentive more to drop out with no provisions? I am fully in agreement that another OIM would be good but look at the rest of the industries agreements. Ours is still the best. I have copies of UPS,Delta,Spirit agreements. We cant even get our pilot group to steep up now how is pulling out of this OIM going to change this? I have said this over and over again but we all need to look in the mirror and ask am I part of the problem or the solution.
