Are you seriously that shortsighted? Do you seriously think JB’s PR/legal department can handle “jetblue pilot has Coronavirus and was flying sick because their policy didn’t afford to pay protect them when every other airline and every other jetblue employee was pay protected.”

Prior to this LOA, a pilot had a family member who they thought was sick with CV19 (couldn’t get a test but was negative for flu). Family doc ordered a 14 day quarantine for family knowing he was a pilot. Company said you can PTS/UTS. He said I’m not losing pay or PTO, and I’m not symptomatic or sick, so I’ll just brief my crew accordingly when I go to work tomorrow. He was taken off the trip and pay protected.

JetBlue can’t afford to NOT have this policy in light of what most other companies are doing from a PR or liability standpoint.
