No training costs. De minimis salary cost. Outside of 2 weeks: cancel away. Inside: honor the date you already agree upon since those guys gave 2 weeks notice. Or offer them the next class date, but put it on their terms.
And every airline does stuff like this, but jetblue makes it a big deal to profess they are one of a few airlines who has never furloughed, has values and cares about people. I’m a realist and know how things really are, but I just wanted to highlight the fact that not only are we like everyone else, we are actually in the back of the pack when it comes to stuff like this. Pathetic AA of all airlines is doing people right and we aren’t. Hyperboy professes that our culture makes us different. My point is that it doesn’t. There is no culture. There is one value here: $$$.
Wasn't the 3/18 class postponed, with a promise that said folks would be the next class when things get back to normal?
