This makes a lot of sense. It saves the company cash and preserves pilot jobs without reducing our hourly rate. As others have mentioned, I’m not a fan of lowering the hourly rate as we may never get it back. Plus, working harder for less money is never appealing. However, the hours will return at some point down the road, so lowering the ALV for a finite period to save the company money and preserve pilot jobs seems like an all around win-win.
