Thats not exactly how that happened at XJT. XJT still had a year or so on the contract and contacted Delta about renewing it. Delta told them they wouldn’t be renewing the contract. XJT management was also trying to get an new CPA with UAL but UAL wasn’t sure the XJT could staff the flying. XJT/SkyWest management negotiated winding down the Delta flying early so they could staff the UAL opportunity. Delta didn’t pull it early, XJT negotiated the wind down early so they could sign other opportunities.
