Why should marijuana companies get away with false advertising by posting billboards extolling the health “benefits” of marijuana? Why is it OK for marijuana companies to lie in advertisements claiming that marijuana is harmless?
They should probably get to advertise the actual (and yes, they’re real) medical benefits of cannabis. I haven’t seen any ads claiming that marijuana is affirmatively harmless, and I’m sure you haven’t, either. If you wish to argue about disclosure requirements similar to alcohol, that’s probably okay with almost everyone on the “legalization” side.
