You guys got cut a low 5 figure bonus check recently right? If anything it should be easier for a new person to survive on zero for a few months than senior people surviving on 60. If this goes on much longer we’re all screwed anyway.
most junior people also paid 2-3x inflation adjusted to get to where they are for 1.5x salary inflation adjusted. When I hear people like you complain about not being able to survive on 60 and being senior makes me wonder how you got so far in your life without learning how to save. Not to mention all the “senior” guys would be just as grumpy if they ended up on reserve cause everyone below them got down graded. It would really suck for those captains who thought they were senior but end up getting down graded to senior fo. They will be *****ing about that pay cut more that 75 to 60 hours
