They'll quickly move on to the next shiny object despite the MSM's and press outlets best efforts to push this event to the last drop of relevance. Forecasts on the business side don't share your prognostication. I'm saving this reply, we'll see what the real world looks like in 2 years.
Certainly hope you're right.
A couple things though. We need to do everything we can to keep an extra clean environment onboard the aircraft AND make sure the public knows it. I think a good indicator of domestic travel will start to show itself in the numbers 6 months after Disney World in Orlando and the casinos in Vegas reopen. Both in seats filled in the air and at the businesses themselves. Business travel is whole other animal. I know a lot of businesses (including some where I know people personally) will ask themselves after a good period of forced telework/teleconferencing just how much of their travel is really required.
I'll make a note to revisit these posts in 2 years as well.
