Yeah I looked into this info when I first saw it. It is accurate, but old.

One thing that (I think) is hidden in the data is personality.

Meaning: there are certain people who are defined by their job, and without it have no life. These are the people who literally work until they die. If forced to stop working, they die anyway (just like people who are married for 50 years who die within a year of their spouse dying).

Read into this what you will, but this is what I see: the over-60 guys hanging on to anything resembling an airline job (the back of the Boeing at 60? Are you kidding me?) are the types who are defined by their job. Take their job away, and you remove their reason for living.

The people who retire on time (or early) have managed to find something outside of flying airplanes to define themselves, and will most likely lead long and happy retirements.

Again, just my amateur analysis.
