Attacking Chinese people for the virus is as ignorant as it gets. Citing where the virus came from is not.
If it is then find another name for the Swine Flu, the Spanish Flu, Bird Flu, etc.
It's not that you can't say it came from China, but that people will make irresponsible correlations between all Chinese people and this virus if you aren't being careful. We killed tons and tons of pigs in response to the Swine Flu, because people blamed pigs, even healthy ones. Be cautious about similarities between then and now.
COVID-19 is all anyone needs to call it for now. We can get to the geopolitics later.
