If there are furloughs, I think the PWA needs to be amended (I’ve suggested this in every contract survey for 20 years), pilots on furlough should be able to vote on any contract/LOA.

The reason they don’t get to vote is that they will vote for any POS that gets them back on property quickest. Which is prolly true. However, the old fart retiring shortly will also vote in his best interest and do what pays him the most.....contract be damned. So, at worst each segment cancels each other out, and the middle of the road gets the say. (Additionally, I submit that the guys on furlough will not be inclined to vote in any POS cause they will have to work under it((but that prolly won’t outweigh their desire to get back on property ASAP and they will worry about that other stuff later)). So, if you find yourself furloughed thru no fault of your own, you should get to vote. I know, heresy right?
