The training dept is already cutting staff. Training displacement pilots with months remaining and the cascade those displacements create is a tuff economic argument to make.
I see abt 600 AA pilots took the early out. Not seeing any reason pilot behaviors here will be markedly different
This is exactly what I think. I would think it would be much cheaper in the long run to offer early retirements especially with training churn costs from both displacement bids and later reinstatement bids.
I think this should be negotiated before any ALV reductions.
