Calling COVID19 a China Virus is entirely accurate and valid. Wuhan Virus would be even more so. Trying to add levity to a nasty situation is a normal coping mechanism. People calling it racist simply do not know the real meaning of the word.
Did you order Chinese Food or Chinky Chow at all this past year?
lighten up.
Chinky Chow? Seriously, get a grip. Wuhan virus would not be "more valid" that Covid-19. It's a colloquial term for a scientific virus. Practically by definition it's less valid.
It's not that you can't say it came from China. But don't pretend it doesn't have consequences. People will be irresponsible and blame Chinese people writ large when it is not the fault of Chinese people writ large. It's not even the fault of Wuhan. Just call it Covid-19 please.
