I certainly would never compel anyone to fly or not fly GS, that's up to the individual to decide what to do. Jetway/ACARS assignments can be unavoidable, so that's why I think the multiplier should go up.
If we are going to get into this furball over shaming GSs with guys on the street, then how about this: Have the company publish HOW an IA was obtained (jetway or via phone contact). With the first phone contacted accepted IA, the no GS with guys on the street is invalid and the contract goes back to normal. Everybody has caller ID. Not knowing is no excuse anymore. That way, if a junior guy answers his ****ing phone, then he has made the decision that GSs aren't that bad.
