Many of you don't seem too upset at the idea of someone getting an IA vs a GS. One is involuntary and the other voluntary. So what? The result is the same and the voluntary guy might even be helping out the involuntary one who didn't want to go out on a trip because of life events (birthday, graduation, wedding etc.).

This is such a slippery slope. I will say this, if the trip is going to be covered one way or another (and not cancelled), I am adamantly against in paying less. We don't want to go there.
