I've got a friend in the exact situation. He's debating a leave but either doesn't qualify or not sure if the financial implications make sense. The plan is to keep working. Explain to the wife and kids that the situation sucks, but the numbers look like this:

Rather not go to work for a lot of reasons, but authorities seem to think it's important, and it's what he does (profession).

If I thought I had a 5% chance of dying from this, I wouldn’t be leaving the house. You have to have several elevated risk factors to approach that probability of death. If you do, I STRONGLY suggest you stay home and stay isolated.
