no one is excited for anyone to furlough, just offering words of caution towards thinking this is a guaranteed no furlough situation for everyone. The bill says specifically that Air Carriers who take the grants cannot furlough. AAG is not an air carrier, AAL is. And Envoy is not a subsidiary of AAL. In fact, AAL and Envoy, two separate air carriers, are both subsidiaries of AAG. If the money is awarded to AAG, then yes all WO pilots would be included, if the money is applied for and awarded to American Airlines, Inc. then there may be reason to worry at a wholly owned since a furlough there would not constitute a furlough at AAL.
