With the pandemic going on, I want to say that the future doesn't look too promising. The current drop in demand in commercial aviation looks as if there won't be a pilot shortage for a while. Given the situation, as a 42 yr old CFI who was about to make the move to regionals this year, I am not so sure if I will ever get to see a decent stint at a major airline now. Will we ever return to the normal levels of hiring of 2019?
Is aviation a second career for you? What were you doing before?
