You still have over 20 years until you would be forced to retire. That’s a pretty long time. This next year to maybe two years is going to suck but the industry will pick back up and lots of pilots are still going to retire. No one has a crystal ball (obviously look at this situation), but I still think pilots have a good outlook career wise over the next 10 years.
If you’re able to, try and position yourself so you’re able to be hired on the front end of the next hiring wave.
Thanks for the encouragement. Going cargo possibly would be a better deal now, don't you think? Even though I imagined myself aiming for Delta oneday, it is one step at a time.
