I never imagined the sentiment between SKW and UAL would be so co-dependant/adversarial. UAL employed a family member since the late 70s, so I had nothing but admiration.
Don’t worry, UA hires more SkyWest guys then probably any other regional and have for decades. 99% don’t have anything against SkyWest pilots. Jumpseat thing was gay but most know it was limited to a few idiots and no one gives 2 turds about it in the hiring department. I also tried to get ALPA in twice while I was there but the old, 50+ lifers shot it down both times. I had about 10 ex-girlfriends there and the drama was really picking up on my way out so now I think of it as my Vietnam. Good times.
