Military helo pilot based in SD.
Comm ASEL pilot/inst/ME from 4 year university.

Looking to begin plans to change careers and go from military to 121 or similar, with a current long-term goal to be flying in, out, and around Japan.
Im short ~120 hours FW PIC to meet RATP mins. Should I bite the bullet and pay for my own hours on weekends and holidays? Or sit tight and hope the rotary transition programs are still kicking in 3-4 years when im eligible to leave the mil?
