The TLDR is this: SkyWest predicted at 1,700. Most regionals predicted out of business. Mainline pilot groups halved.
I personally think that’s a tad excessive, and the CARES act may change things substantially too.
It was based on pontifications from Audrey's Aircraft Analysis, but of course picked the most pessimistic viewpoint and was done before the stimulus was passed. Now that it has passed, the same site has a much more optimistic outlook (
