Seems to me there are two scenarios where the company is obligate to convert sick time to MGP as it pertains to the 'Rona and the MOU. You don't actually have to test positive for the virus. As long as you're directed by someone official (in language below) to quarantine, that's enough to trigger the MGP status. I don't see anything that requires a positive test to qualify.
  1. Any pilot who is non-symptomatic, but who is directed by any Company, medical, or governmental personnel, or any governmental or legal order, to receive medical evaluation, treatment, or quarantine based on concerns, conditions or events related to COVID-19shall be placed in a Management Removed Paid ("MGP") status (i.e., the pilots' trips will be dropped and pay-protected)for the duration of the evaluation, treatment, or quarantine.
  2. Any pilot who displays symptoms of COVID-19 shall call in sick. If the pilot is diagnosed with COVID-19, the pilot will be placed on MGP status for the duration of any resultant medical treatment or quarantine, and any credit hours deducted from his or her sick bank owing to his or her illness shall be restored.
