All SKW mins are enforced, although if you fly an RJ at another airline you can get on with 850 TT. There have been rumors of less than 850 for CRJ drivers, but nobody I know in training or interviewing has confirmed it.

If you're having trouble getting the twin time, just buy it. Load up the credit card if needed. I MEI'ed for 350 hours, and learned a lot doing it, but times have changed. I hate to see otherwsie qualified CFI's languishing at that level because of lack of twin time. I ran into one of my old students at the home field. He's a freelance CFI with 3000+ hours, so I kind of danced the around the subject of why was he still there...turns out he only has 15 hours ME

Most opportunities to get paid to fly a twin require 100 ME hours for insurance anyway.
