Are you at Alaska? If so, why do you feel that way. I'm at Jetblue and believe the only "good" merger/partnership would be Alaska for us. We will never be a big west coast player. We tried. Alaska will never be a big east coast player. Matter of fact, they bought Virgin and all but shut down Virgin's east coast operation. I don't think the DOT will allow any of the big four to buy either one of us. We are/were under attack by the same 800lb gorilla(Delta) in our hubs. Together Jetblue and Alaska are an instant player with 6 fantastic coastal hubs and a setup for international flying. With neither airline having wide bodies there is less chance of either group getting crushed in an SLI.
