Many here have overlooked this. Having a large, low-productivity pilot group is more costly than a small, high-productivity group.

The company is only interested in lower ALVs to reduce short-term costs, just as they are only interested in furloughs to address long-term costs.

Lower ALVs simply don’t equate to reduced furloughs.
