As a B6 guy, the idea of a an AK and Hawaii merger actually sounds really interesting. It immediately gives West Coast, East Coast and Hawaii/Pacific rim access, but my biggest problem with AK is the lack of scope. The fact that there's 175s flying routes that should be on a 737 doesn't sit right with me, and not something I'd want to get into. I 100% understand the need for a turboprop service into places where a large jet can't get into, but you don't need a regional running routes like SEA-DFW, or SEA-MKE for example.
