SWA would probably be allowed to buy Jetblue. Very little overlap. Hoping against that one personally. Alaska and Jetblue would be allowed. Almost no overlap. Huge network. Best merger I can imagine. It would open doors to Asia flights out of Seattle and Europe flights out of JFK and BOS. Pilots don't have to get hurt in that one and at this juncture in my career, that's what I'm thinking about.
Asia and Europe would only be hypothetically possible if JetBlue management were running the show, Alaska management has no vision other than Seattle.
