Ask the American pilots about the all cuts to save jobs and "save the company" over the years, then in the bankruptcy they find the company kept their swanky townhouse in London near Downing St and a bunch of other perks and stuff that should have been shed but weren't. Then after a decade of living those concessions they get hosed with a bankruptcy contract.
You guys will give concessions, and a year later they'll run a sham bankruptcy to reorganize, refinance, and stick you with a sub par contract.... because well, the cuts just weren't enough after all. We tried. sorry.
Finally, 50 hour pay at a regional is probably under what unemployment pays currently.... add in the $600 weekly override from the feds stimulus for four months and you'd be far better off taking the short term furlough.
Never take concessions for jobs....
Surely, no pilot group in this day and age is dumb enough to take hourly rate cuts? Sure....I'm willing to fly less, but I sure as heck won't fly FOR less.
