I see a ton of people on here discussing money. While I understand that money is obviously a factor in deciding on a career, the key factor needs to be your passion for flying. As cyclical as the industry is, money will come and go through your career. As some others have said, timing is everything, and some will make out better than others. At the end of the day it takes a real love for flying to put up with many aspects of the job and you can’t rely on money being the incentive to keep you going. If you do not love flying, and can not justify the lifestyle by the feeling you get from sitting in the cockpit of that jet, then it’s probably the wrong career for you.
