No, SkyWest won't consider you, >>>>>ok, had to delete this, too<<<<, until you have 1000 hours. Virtually any other regional that is hiring will, however.

As to San Diego, I commute from there, and while it's not too bad to Salt Lake, there are TONS of commuters in the area. I had to leave today to start a 10:20am show tomorrow (Fri). Plane completely full, and about 20% of the time, I'm in the actual jumpseat. Can you say two hour sore *ss every week?

If you can bump up that time, you might still be able to get on the Brasilia in SoCal, and won't have to commute. Those are scheduled to be phased out in 2010.
